Details

Content Summary :

Welcome to Galapagos Safari Camp, where you'll find African-inspired safari tents immersed in lush vegetation. These discreet, unpretentious tents are the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful Galapagos Islands. Each tent has a private balcony deck, perfect for some hammock-time, and a spacious and stylish room decorated in tasteful safari-style simplicity. The en-suite bathroom comes equipped with a sun-powered hot shower, and there are several electrical sockets for charging your devices. Our tents can be set up as double, twin, or triple rooms, and are included in your safari experience. Plus, with 50 hectares of land, you'll feel a sense of connection to nature that's hard to find elsewhere. We hope you'll join us for an unforgettable safari adventure!

Galapagos Safari Camp was built on a dream that began when the founders first arrived at the farm in 2003 and were captivated by the incredible views, intimacy with nature, and raw beauty of the Galapagos Islands. They were inspired to buy the land and start living on the farm, which has since become a way of life that connects them to incredible Galapagos experiences and defines the pillars of our philosophy: purpose, personalization, experiential, honest dining, seamless journey, and balanced disconnection. We hope you'll join us at Galapagos Safari Camp and experience all that this special place has to offer.

  • Unwind back at camp, enjoying uninterrupted views of the highland forests and the shimmering blues of the Pacific Ocean, without another human in sight.

Upon arrival at the small airport on Baltra Island, a representative from the VIP Lounge will help with required paperwork and escort you to the lounge for refreshments. After, a bilingual naturalist guide will join you for the journey to Galapagos Safari Camp, making various stops along the way including at Los Gemelos and a giant tortoise reserve. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before continuing on to the camp for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Your Safari doesn’t end upon returning to Camp. On the contrary, you are fully immersed in nature here and are free to enjoy the camp’s facilities and 50 hectares of private land at your own pace, far from the busy ports and coastal crowds.

Suggestions:

  • Take a refreshing dip in our infinity pool (also a popular spot with our resident finches)
  • Discover the fascinating history and health-giving properties of Ecuador’s finest chocolate, widely regarded as the world’s finest and rarest, in our Chocolate Tasting Experience (booking in advance required).
  • Retreat to your tent for a hot shower and forty winks
  • Unwind in a hammock with your binos at hand (keep an ear out too for the distinctive bird shrills of mockingbirds and warblers that fill the air as well as the gentle rustling of leaves as giant tortoises creep through the undergrowth beneath the tents)
  • Head to our observation deck for a cocktail and aperitif, in time to admire the setting sun as it sinks behind miles of uninterrupted parkland, distant islands and ocean.
  • Indulge in some time alone (a privilege in a place like the Galapagos). Explore secluded lanes on foot or bike, keeping an eye out for the giant tortoises and numerous bird species that populate this area.
  • End your day with a four-course dinner on our veranda, followed by a little star-gazing on your private deck. (Note we can cater to vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, gluten-free, allergies, preferences or religious regulations – just let us know in advance and we can adapt our menu to meet your needs)

At Galapagos Safari Camp we pride ourselves on creating private, personalized experiences. If you would like us to organize a special something back at camp, whether it's a birthday or anniversary celebration, or a discreet, yet unforgettable experience to share with your loved ones, we would be happy to hear your thoughts and share some of our ideas with you.

An Amazing Place!

It’s hard to explain the magic of Galapagos Safari Camp. It was truly a special place and you feel it from the second you step off the plane. The entire process from getting off the plane to getting to the camp was seamless. The staff at GSC has truly thought of every detail and taken the stress out of traveling. The camp itself was meticulously taken care of and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. We stayed as part of their relaxation package which was an add on to our trip to the islands. We were able to relax, enjoy the views and experience some AMAZING cocktails in the lodge. I can’t recommend GSC enough. From the unbelievable food to the care and thought the staff put into every detail of our stay. You can’t go wrong with GSC and will be so happy you stayed.

A Place to Make Outstanding Memories!!

This was my husband's and my 3rd adventure to the The Galapagos, However, this trip was for one of our Grandson's High School Graduation gift. We wanted to take him someplace where he would see things he had never seen before, learn about things he never realized he had an interest in, spend time alone with him and yet give him the opportunity to do things he enjoys doing like snorkeling and scuba diving
From the moment we arrived on the ""Camp's "" property we were pampered. Alejandra made sure of it. She sat with us and planned our tours for the next several days, By no way were these routine tours that were given to us. Example, at the last minute our Grandson decided he wanted to do some scuba diving. Alejandra , went to work trying to find an opening with a reputable dive company. It was all taken care of by the time we returned from our daily tour. A memory our grandson will never forget as he saw a giant manta, Hammerhead sharks and so much more. She went over the menu for dinner daily to make sure each of us approved of it. I am Gluten free and every meal had home baked gluten free breads just for me. I had everything my grandson and husband had only it was prepared Gluten Free . As for the food, the meals were outstanding. My husband and I have spent a lot of time in Quito over the years and never did we experience such culinary excellence in Ecuador. If you can get Horae to strum a few tunes for you after dinner it is a real treat ( He also makes a great Mohito )!! At night when we got into our bed there was always an extra little touch thrown in for comfort. A hot water bottle was placed under the covers in the bed ( where your feet would be),
The internet is in and out , there is no TV, and yet an 18 year old had no problem living without internet, Wifi ,TV and cell service for a week! We played Chess, stargazed, and had discussions about our dreams and goals. It was one of the best trips we have ever experienced!! And it is an Experience.

Luxury in the Galapagos Highlands

The Galapagos Safari Camp (GSC) was the most amazing, beautiful, and personalized hotel experience. The tents were the definition of "glamping" with a comfortable bed, a beautiful view from the patio, and regular turn over service with little messages from the staff. The hostess, Alejandra, has a warm and welcoming personality, she clearly has a passion for her job, the Galapagos, and interacting with the guests. She was also very accommodating to our wishes for our stay. Jorge was the bartender and gave great wine recommendations and was just a cool guy. The food was delicious, a truly gourmet experience. All the staff at GSC were courteous and warm. Our guide, Xavier, rounded out our experience - he was thoughtful, funny, and most importantly, perceptive to our needs and feelings. Finally, my partner and I just got engaged, so for our final night, the GSC staff organized a romantic, private dinner that was unforgettable. Overall, I want to return to the Galapagos and hope to stay at GSC again!
